1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms govern the Meetigen account and platform relationship. Meetigen accounts are for people aged 18 or older.
A parent or guardian may manage a dependant ticket for a person under 18 under the disclosed Event attendance rules. A dependant ticket does not create a child account.
Paid checkout has a separate required acceptance of the applicable versioned Event payment and refund terms. Acceptance of these general Terms does not replace that transaction consent, and transaction consent does not replace these general Terms.
2. Accounts and security
- Provide accurate information, protect access credentials, and report suspected misuse.
- Do not sell, impersonate, or transfer an account. A ticket transfer does not transfer an account.
- Meetigen may require reauthentication for sensitive identity, payout, security, or privacy actions.
3. Event organisers
Organisers are responsible for accurate Event listings, permissions, venue or online-access details, accessibility and age disclosures, Event delivery, staffing, safety, cancellations, changes, and organiser-caused refunds.
Saamoja operates Meetigen and its platform controls. It may review, restrict, postpone publication, or remove an Event where reasonably necessary for safety, law, fraud, payment, provider requirements, or these Terms.
4. Events involving minors
- Organisers must disclose the relevant age range and whether a guardian remains, performs check-in or release, or authorises independent attendance.
- A guardian must manage a dependant ticket and provide any required consent for limited admission data.
- Organisers must not collect unnecessary information about a child and may apply stricter disclosed safeguarding rules.
5. Events and content
- Do not submit unlawful, exploitative, violent, fraudulent, infringing, privacy-invasive, or dangerous material.
- Do not groom, sexualise, exploit, identify, or endanger a child.
- Do not evade blocks, suspensions, ticket or payment controls, or moderation decisions.
- You are responsible for the rights needed to submit content and for the accuracy of Event information you provide.
6. Tickets and admission
A ticket is a revocable admission credential for the stated Event and holder or permitted dependant. Admission may be refused where a disclosed rule is unmet, the credential is invalid or already USED, or refusal is reasonably required for safety or law.
The transaction flow presents applicable Event details, total price, charges, attendance conditions, transfer rules, cancellation terms, and refund terms before payment or registration.
7. Payments and organiser settlement
Saamoja operates Meetigen as an Event marketplace. Organisers create Events and are responsible for delivering them. Paystack processes supported payments and settlement where enabled, and provider confirmation controls payment, ticket fulfilment, refunds, and payouts.
Meetigen does not offer a wallet, stored value, lending, foreign exchange, or peer-to-peer transfers. Applicable charges are disclosed and versioned in the relevant transaction flow. These Terms do not state that Saamoja is the merchant of record.
8. Cancellations, postponements, and refunds
- Event payment and refund terms are separate, versioned transaction terms accepted at paid checkout.
- The current transaction flow permits a voluntary refund request until 24 hours before the scheduled Event start, subject to the applicable versioned terms and eligibility rules.
- A cancelled Event, material change, paid-but-unfulfilled order, duplicate capture, prohibited transaction, or provider-confirmed issue may result in a buyer-protection refund process.
- A postponement may require the buyer to choose expressly between the replacement Event and a refund under the applicable terms. Silence is not treated as acceptance of a replacement.
- Refund completion is shown only after provider confirmation. Meetigen does not promise or advance funds it does not control.
9. Enforcement and appeals
Meetigen may restrict content, Events, tickets, accounts, seller capabilities, earnings, or payouts where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, law, provider requirements, or these Terms. Where appropriate, it will provide the action, reason, duration, correction opportunity, and appeal route.
10. Account closure
You may request account closure through the privacy contact. Active organiser responsibilities, Events, refunds, disputes, and payouts may need resolution or transfer first. Saamoja may retain or restrict records where needed for legal, financial, fraud, safety, or dispute purposes.
11. Rights and responsibility
Nothing in these Terms removes a mandatory consumer, privacy, or other legal right. Any limitation or indemnity must be fair, role-specific, and lawful.
12. Changes, law, and contact
Material adverse changes will be communicated in a manner appropriate to the change, and transaction terms will not be changed retroactively. These Terms are intended to be governed by Kenyan law, subject to mandatory rights.
